Translation
The smell of smoke has filled the air in the stone-grill shop,
Next door is a Chinese wu shu (*1) house
The shop's mama-san (*2) has third grade in cha-dao (*3)
The shop-owner who teaches 'quan-jiao wu shu' (*4), practises the 'tie sha zhang' (*5) and 'yang jia qiang' (*6)
Most skilful with 'hard' style kung-fu (*7), can also do 'jin zhong zhao' (*8) and 'tie bu shan' (*9)
Being their child, I've been accustomed to it, been deeply influenced since I was little,
Any sorts of sword, spear or cudgel (*10) I can perform competently
The weapon I like most is the 'shuang jie gun' (*11),
Which is 'rou zhong dai gang' (*12)
Want to go to Song Shan in He Nan (*13), to learn 'Shaolin' and 'Wu Dang' (*14)
Zen mo gai zen mo gai (*15), 'hu xi tu na' (*16) to be free and get comfort in the heart,
Zen mo gai zen mo gai, 'qi chen dan tian' (*17), opening your palms
Zen mo gai zen mo gai, sprinting and training with sand bags
Ddon't feel strange to see me flying over rooftops and running on walls, gone and be back very quickly.

(*1) wu shu: martial arts
(*2) mama san: female host
(*3) cha dao: 'the way of tea', which is the traditional etiquette of preparing and drinking tea.
(*4) 'quan jiao wu shu': martial arts involving the use of fist and feet
'quan' = fist ; 'jiao' = feet
(*5 ) 'tie sha zhang': 'iron sand palm', a hard style of 'qi gong'
(btw, 'qi gong' is a chinese system of physical training, philosophy, and preventive and therapeutic health care)
(*6) yang jia qiang: 'yang family spear', one of the most famous tai chi quan weapons, created by yang lu chan during the ching dynasty (19th century).
(*7) 'hard' style kung fu: meaning the movements of the kung fu is executed in a 'hard' sort of manner.
(*8) jin zhong zhao: 'golden bell cover', training (in 'tai chi' fist kungfu) that allows a person to be struck without injury
(*9) tie bu shan: 'the iron shirt', training to allow person to take a blow with no injury
(*10) cudgel: stick, a basic kungfu weapon
(*11) shuang jie gun: nunchuks
(*12) 'rou zhong dai gang': phrase to describe (in this case of martial arts) the movements being primarily 'soft' with 'hardness' embebbed within.
(*13) song shan: 'song' mountain which is situated in 'he nan' province, china.
(*14) shaolin: 'shaolin' kungfu is the martial art practised at the shaolin monastery. the shaolin monastery is situated in the henan province at the foot of song mountain, built in 495.
wu dang: the 'wu dang' martial art system, involves the martial arts practised by the taoists in mount wu dang and their disciples. mount wu dang is located in the hubei province of china.
(*15) 'zen mo gai': in chinese hakka language, meaning 'why'
(*16) hu xi tu na: a form of 'qi gong' exercise, involves the expulsion of stale and stagnated air (exhaling), and inhaling fresh air, thus improving the functioning of the internal organs to resist senility and prolong life.
(*17) 'qi chen dan tian': meaning the 'qi' sinking to the 'dan tian'. this is one of the qi gong exercises involved with breathing, using the 'reverse abdominal breathing' method. ('dan tian' : is a 'point' 3 fingers width below the navel where 'qi' is stored and generated)
(*18) ma bu: posture (in kungfu training) also called the 'horse stance' ('ma'= horse). called 'ma bu' because when a person stays in this position, he/she would look like riding an invisible horse. this training method helps to improve the stability of positions, strength of legs and attacks.
(*19) 'ren' & 'du' channels: in chinese medical practices, the human body is perceived to be pervaded by a system of energy channels: 12 regular channels, 8 extra channels and 15 collaterals. the 'ren' and 'du' are two of the 8 extra channels.'opening' up the 8 extra channels is an exercise that helps to regulate the circulation of 'qi' and 'blood' in the body.
(*20) 'dong ya bing fu': 'sick men of east asia'. this phrase appeared in the bruce lee film 'jing wu men' ('the chinese connection'), where a japanese martial arts group went to bruce's martial art school and insulted the chinese with that phrase written on a signboard....etcetc..this phrase was actually used to describe china during the colonial period, when it was under invasion of the western imperialists.
(*21) qing gong: (in 'wu xia' stories or films) 'floating' skills where a person has the ability to fly or jump great distances.
